NSG MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Thank you for considering membership in the National Sharpeners Guild (NSG). Certification is NOT REQUIRED to become a member of the Guild.
Membership is for 1 year increments and includes the following benefits:
1) Special membership registration rates for Guild events such as the annual NSG National Convention, certification exams, and workshops. (10% discount)
2) Periodic email updates about Guild events and interesting things that are happening within the sharpening industry.
3) Access to membership credentials and use of the Guild logo for your business advertising such as website, business cards, and print ads.
4) Fellowship with some of the finest sharpeners in the industry.
5) Members Only Facebook Group. Contribute, ask questions, watch videos and more.
6) Listed in Sharpeners Lookup on the NSG website and affiliate websites.
7) Participation in committees and Guild functions.
8) Access to exclusive educational videos not available elsewhere.
By applying for NSG membership you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms and conditions of all NSG policies and bylaws.

Mission Statement
The National Beauty Tool Sharpeners Guild is an industry trade group established to advance the knowledge and skills of beauty tool sharpeners. The organization certifies sharpeners of shears, scissors, thinning shears, and clipper blades so that there is a fair and unbiased evaluation of the sharpening ability and provides resources for best business practices, training, and the advancement of the sharpening industry.
Vision Statement
To become the preeminent source of knowledge and training for the beauty tool sharpening industry by hosting fun, effective, and welcoming conventions and certification events. To provide an atmosphere in which sharpeners of all experience levels can gather and learn from each other and to advance the cause of certified sharpeners and their usefulness and benefit to other industries.
